Two club records were broken on Sunday 7th March. Vanessa Hawkins broke her own FV50 half-marathon record with a time of 1:32:50 at Lanelli Waterside. On the same day Jo Webb set a new FV50 20 mile record with a time of 2:28:57 at Gloucester. Well done to both ladies.

Race marshals are required for the Bitton Road Runners organised Hanham Horror race on Easter Sunday 4th April. Please add your name to the list in the clubhouse or see/email Bob Sperring if you wish to help out on the day. Remember that part of your membership conditions is to help marshal at least one Bitton organised race a year.

The dates for the 2010 Avon league meetings to be held at Yate track are:-
Meeting 1 - April 25th
Meeting 2 - June 27th
Meeting 3 - July 11th
Meeting 4 - Sept 5th
Also the juniors and adults track day at Yate for Bitton members and families will be on Saturday 22th May. More details to follow.

Allison Collier is collecting memorabilia from the clubs past so that it can be collated for the clubs 25th anniversary in 2011. So if you have any old pictures, press cuttings, old club magazines etc. then please bring them along on a club night or you can send electronic items via this link Allison.

There are currently a couple of lists pinned on the clubhouse noticeboard for future events that you may wish to add your names too. They are:-
1. London Marathon Coach. The WRP organised coach will head for London from Kingswood Rugby Club on the Saturday before the VLM. E-mail contact: Gordon
2. Welsh Castles Relay. Names are being taken for the annual road relay cavalcade through Wales on the weekend of 12th & 13th June. The club captains will need to know the numbers interested by March so that the team category types can be selected for application to the race organisers.

20th March 2010 Rhayader 20 Mile Round the Lakes Road Race
28th March 2010 Forest of Dean Trails Half-Marathon
25th April 2010 Pensford 10K Road Race
