The Hill Trial

The Hill Trial - Thursday 17th October

If you thought The Mile Trial was tough, well it is time for our Biannual Hill Trial!

In place of Thursday’s usual hill session with Tez, we will be holding a timed trial session on the ‘long hill’, which many of you will already know, is the stretch from underneath the bridge to the bollards.

Before the trial, there will be a full warm up, as usual, to ensure you are ready to give the hill your max!

The effort distance is 330 metres and we will each run it 3 times.

Tina Dury will be our official starter (she has the whistle) and Katy Shoesmith will be our official time-keeper (she has the stopwatch). Tina will be located at the bridge and Katy will be located by the bollards.

Your time for each effort will be noted - and then the average time overall will be calculated to give your final trial time, which will be recorded ready for the next one.

So, it’s all about consistency - Remember, you are only racing yourself!

Make sure you don’t miss out on what’s already been nicknamed ‘Killer Hiller’!

See you on the 17th.
