We’ve had everything from speedy 2-milers to marathons, international racing, fell races, category wins, club records, plenty of PBs and another fantastic turnout from the blue and yellow. Another brilliant turnout for the second race in our Bitton 5K Series. It was fantastic to see so many familiar faces on the start line, with PBs for Felicity, Leah and Martha. Liz Sanigar also produced an incredible 80.2% age grading, proving once again that age is just a number!
Rye Summer 10K

Four Fans Fell Race

Another race, another category win for Bryan! This time he headed for the hills and came away with 1st MV70. Outstanding running on a seriously tough course.

What a turnout! Hogweed has to be the race of the month, with Bitton absolutely taking over the course. Helen Owen was simply outstanding, taking 1st FV50 and 1st Avon V50, while Debbie Hale claimed 1st Avon FV55. Steve Herring and Maura Barry-Boyle also picked up category prizes, and there were PBs flying around everywhere. It was fantastic to see so many blue and yellow vests out there.

Cheddar Gorge is never an easy day out, but Jack Ambler continues to be absolutely flying, finishing 2nd overall on one of the toughest 10Ks around. Brilliant performances from everyone who tackled the hills.
Malmö Half Marathon

Bitton went international again this month, with Joe and Richard heading over to Sweden. Joe produced another excellent half marathon, while Richard continues his streak of racing pretty much every weekend!

A brilliant weekend over at the Tarka Trail events. Matt picked up 3rd MV40, Anna claimed 2nd FV40 in the half marathon, and Robin rounded off the weekend with a fantastic marathon performance.
What another fantastic month for Bitton! We’ve had club members racing across roads, trails, fells and even internationally, collecting PBs, podiums, age category wins and plenty of memories along the way.
A huge congratulations to everyone who raced, volunteered, marshalled or came along to support. Seeing so many of you out in blue and yellow every week is what makes this club so special.
